OMG!!! I'm going to the Utada concert in NYC!!! they're not actually sold out like Utadanet.com says, livenation is actually selling the tickets (although for $12 extra dollars).

whatever, i'm going on Feb 8th!!!!!

SO SO SO SO SO EXCITED.

I was actually worried that I was going to have to go by myself, but my "new" friend actually wants to go and so does her boyfriend. so yey! :)

A very much needed life update.

First, I would like to say "sorry" for my negligence of this journal.

Well, summers ending (i'm so sorry for not updating, but livejournal just isn't a priority anymore with school/internships/part-time jobs). But by no means am I abandoning livejournal, because i still love all the communities. I'm still going to occasionally spazz and update, it just won't be regularly (not like it was before lol).

So anyway, here's what i did this summer:

Make my resume, portfolio, cover letters
Go to job interviews
Interning at a marketing/design company in NYC 3 days a week
Working at my local part-time job 3 days a week
Going to a black and white traditional film photography class every saturday
Seeing a psychologist once a week (just because i always wanted to try one to get rid of deep seeded emotions *sigh*)
Hanging with friends occasionally
Watching movies like: The Ugly Truth, The Proposal, can't remember anymore.....
Shopping and spending money in Soho!!!!
Got a new Macbook Pro 15' , the Adobe programs, and Microsoft Office
Discovered cool new j-pop artists like: ayaka and mihimaru GT
Discovered that the "real world" is HARD
Figured out that maybe I'm not cut out for graphic design and maybe even Pratt Institute (my college)
Opened up to some people

Oh yes, a hectic summer it has been. But i'm very proud of it. Usually i don't do anything and am lazy and don't even hang with friends. Well, this time they actually wanted to hang and I got to gain a lot of job experience!

What I need to work on now is getting rid of my shyness and actually talking to people and making more friends. In school, I am painfully shy.... and i have yet to go clubbing, partying or any of that. I'm socially behind, but i hope to catch up.... soon.

****This really needs an update.... -_-;;;;;; i need a new layout, new prof banner, new ICONS. suggestions?

Internships....

WOW.... I haven't started applying for internships really until this week. I know it's REALLY late, but I hope to still get one. Are they that hard to get? They are unpaid after all. I've applied to about 5 by email. I hope they email me back.... and I also wonder how long it takes for them to email back and how many applicants they get.

Ugh, this sucks T.T..... It's because I really didn't know how to make my resume and portfolio and I procrastinated until last week. But that's no excuse I guess.

Oh, and I figured out what I "am" at college. I'm an indecisive perfectionist. Yup, that's me :).

I want everything to be perfect, so that when I feel overwhelmed, I put it off (procrastinate). I also tend to be disorganized, and end up not doing anything instead of "just doing it." It's "all or nothing" thinking. My dad helped me look it up "indecisive perfectionist" online. -_-;; lol.

Oh, the things one can learn about oneself in college.

Hey, does anyone have an internship/job???? can anyone give me some tips on how to get one/the process?? I'm really shy, I don't have a lot of experience, but I feel that I have a good portfolio (for a sophmore xD).

PS - on a happier note, I've decided that I want an asian haircut xD. I had the Japanese magazine Cutie and Japanese Seventeen. My sister and I found haircuts that we want to try. Kyaaaa <3333.. So excited. I think we're getting the haircuts on saturday. I'll post a picture of it ;)

OMG!!!!!!! Almost all my final projects are due this week and I've been really behind so I have to do A LOT!!!

Argh... don't know where to start. maybe by listing my homework and what's due:

What's due this week:
Mon - 2 Illustrations (but i decided to skip, because i just couldn't do it!)
Tues - Life in a Day Book, min 5 page Art Hist paper
Wed - Magazine spread, typography presentation about Post-Modernism
Thurs - Finished version of my CD designs, Finished 6 months of the calendar designs
Fri - Progress on my advertisements

Yeah, so I skipped today's Illustration class! it's the first time i skipped this semester. I really wanted to be able to say: "I went to EVERY class this semester :)"

So now i have to write my Art Hist paper and finish my Life in a Day Book (both of which i didn't start yet). Oh man... hopefully i'll survive this week without too much disappointment.

Also, I'm gonna call someone for an internship. I'm so nervous!!! *uncomfortable* I'm a very shy person, so talking on the phone with someone in order to promote myself is pretty difficult.

On a happier note, while procrastinating, I decided to start watching Darker Than BLACK. OMG it's SOOO GOOD! i only saw the first 2 epis though. i LOVE the OP song. Abingdon boys school rock!

EPI 25 - Gundam 00 Finale!!!

SPOILERS for Gundam 00 S2!!

OMG... that last episode pretty much blew my mind. Why?? Because Tieria wasn't dead and TIERIA WAS NAKED AND HAD A REALLY HOT BODY. YEAH. Seriously, he looked like he was trying to be Ariel from The Little Mermaid. It was so hilarious ♥. OH, and when he came up to Ribbons, I thought they were gonna make out.

WOW, and Exia came back.... wasn't really expecting that. And everyone pretty much lived!!! i REALLY wasn't expecting that. Hm..... and Saji/Louise are SOOO CUTE!! Also, Patrick/Kati are really cute too although i NEVER thought they were gonna get married... @_@.

Oh, and that purple haired innovator in the government location, it looked like a Anew and Billy crossover. Billy x Anew = Biew (pronounced like "Blue") LOL.

WOW, and the movie ad at the end, i thought it was some fake thing that the subbers put it. I didn't dare believe it... but i was wondering, why the planet?? LOL, and ALIENS??! OMG lol.

Anyone else's thoughts on the finale??? CAN"T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE!!!! and NEED TO FIND A NEW ANIME SERIES T.T Gundam 00 was AWESOME.

I just bought this wool coat yesterday in black. Do you like it???? I'm having second guesses because my hair is already black, and it's a bit basic and boring.... But it still looks nice when i put a colorful scarf and gloves on.

Do you think a weird color coat would be better?? But then everyone needs a basic black coat for formal events right?? But then i'm in art school and i feel a bit boring compared to everyone's colorful coats... argh, peer pressure!! XD;;;

I have 1 week left before Winter Break is over and I still haven't hung out with my friends. I call them, but none of them pick up (well, except one). Ugh.. maybe they're really busy with life and I'm the only one that's... a bum -_-;;;; lol.

Ahhh finals!!! I stayed up until 7 am in the morning and woke up at 8am. Only 1 hour of sleep!! OMG. I was working on my Com Imaging Final. I'll post it to natsupop_icons when I resize. I'm reeeeeally proud of my ads, but I got to class late!! And then when I when I got there, class was over!! The teacher was still there though, so I got to talk to him, but that was kind of misrable -_-;;;;; lol.

Oh, and lately, I've been OBSESSED with Britney Spears' Circus and Womanizer. They are such good songs!!!! :D I'm addicted lol.

It's just some homework that I made for my Visual Communications class. I liked how they turned out ^_^. I'm gonna put them up at survey and hope others like them too! So comments on those would be love!!! (even though there's not much to show.... ) lol.

Hm... and as for life in general, next week will be very busy because my teachers are getting down to business and big projects are due -_-;;;;. Uninteresting maybe, but here's the HW that's due for next week:

Monday - Illustration for New York Times article
Tuesday - 12 still images based on a song OR at least a 1 minute video of a song (continuation from the 3 panel music project from my art post)
Wednesday - Poster of a poem illustrated through type only
Thursday - Finished newsletter spread design (Printed & Mounted); 5 photos of still lives (photography class)
Friday - Rough draft of 6 panel advertisments (Computer imaging class)

OMG I THINK I'LL GO INSANE D:!!!! well, i'll get through it somehow... heh.

On a "happier" note, I think i'll be accompanying my friend to the ActorsFest tomorrow. Not sure how much fun that'll be but I do want to get away from campus. Also... GUNDAM 00 EPI 7!! YES!!

Hm... and has anyone been watching Stylista? It really reminds me of art school xD. I like to see the contestants suffer *_*. is that so wrong?? hahaha

Hello!! i'm back on UNDEAD livejournal maybe just for a day.... midterms have been so hectic. thank god they're over, but the semester end is coming soon and all these big final projects are starting soon.... ugh. hopefully, i can update more though xD. Anyway, here's a little something!

I NOW HAVE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP AND INDESIGN CS3. woot! my wonderful friend gave it to me *_*. wow.... i was using the ancient version of photoshop 5 before (eeeeeew). using the new CS3 is so beautiful T.T!!!! watch out for weird experimentations... and definitely icons or something :D. i'll now be saving in PNG files from now on xD.

GAH!! I'm so bad! I haven't posted in so looooong (>___<)! Sorry guys~. anyway, college has been so hectic and I'm finally getting a break *takes a breather*.... but school is fun... much more fun compared to freshman year. now that was deadly -_-;;;;

Oh, in my Design Procedures class, we're learned how to vector xD. i know it's simple for others (even here on LJ) but I could just never figure out how to do it... :(. So I finally know how now.. though i'm not that good yet lol.

OMG AND OF COURSE: GUNDAM 00 SEASON 2 STARTS ON SUNDAY!!!! SOOOOO EXCITED!!!! XD i wonder when the sub will be out. can't wait to download :3.

Hey!! I'm back from Alaska :D. How is everyone? Did anything big happen while I was gone??! I know I missed a lot of the Olympics. I know that Michael Phelps won 8 gold medals though. WOW, that's amazing. Maybe NBC online will have some things from last week though (hopefully!). Also, when I checked gundam00, I was like WTH?!??!! Why does it feel like missing one week of Gundam 00 news is A TON of info?! ugh... must catch up to other fans... i'm lagging... behind.....

ANYWAY, the cruise was a lot of fuN! I got to see all my cousins, which was awesome. Alaska was also really beautiful... so picturesque. But damn, the souvenirs are expensive. Ugh, I spent a lot just trying to get gifts for my friends. In the end, I only got a pin for my roomate xDDD. Hope she won't mind... lol. As for the actual cruise..... I got sea sick since it was my first cruise. I threw up on the 2nd day. No, that WAS NOT fun. But eventually, I got used to it. In the end, I decided that I like cruises... although I prefer to take LAND vacations from now on...

Summer Vacation

Lovelydawn is going on a cruise to Alaska. She will be gone from Aug. 8th to Aug 17th or so... therefore, she will not be active on LJ for about a week (probably xD).

I'm so excited!! I'll make a post when I get back :D.

OMG, and has anyone been watching Xam'd: Lost Memories?!?! It's really good.. although I've only watched the first 2 epis (and will watch the 3rd on my PSP on the plane xD).

Oh, and I FINALLY got the Apollo Justice soundtrack... I'm addicted to Troupe Gramarye theme song *_*. Anyway... SEE YA!!!

Just wanted to say... I finally posted some more art HERE at my graphics journal: natsupop_icons . I'm so happy that I did something productive this summer xD. Here's an example:

Anyway.... staying on the topic of "Life Update," today I actually went to NYC with my friends from college. We were planning on seeing the Salvadore Dali exhibit in the MoMA, but it didn't really worked out. However, we did go to a street fair, drink bubble tea, eat gyros, and see WALL-E. OMG that movie was SO GOOD *_*. Did anyone else see WALL-E?!? I thought it was so cute.... but I hope the world never becomes like that. It's scary.. D:

Anyway, aside from seeing a really great movie and meeting people my age (lol), work is actually going okay. My employer realizes that I'm trying my best and work and that since i'm just an art student trying to do taxes... she can't expect perfection (obviously). Also, when we went to the accountant, he explained a lot of things so... i understand better or rather, he has control of the situation now xD. Also, I babysat over the weekend to get some $$. It was pretty fun. The kids I babysat are pretty fun themselves and we watched the movie Ghost on TV. Good movie ♥.

Okay, I think I bored you guys enough xD. Oh, and I learned today that I can get Creative Suite 3 for $299 with my Pratt Institute student ID. But then... my friend also said that Creative Suite 4 is coming out soon, so maybe I sould wait?? not sure.... hm... i'll figure it out xD. (then again, I can always "download," as my OTHER friend said.. haha!)

Ahhh... so I have friday off from work. So happy!! Summer feels so nice when one has nothing to do :D. Anyway, recently, this is what i have done with my free time that I now treasure, lol:

Last Night:

- played The World Ends With You ds game... SO FREAKIN' GOOD. I started playing it after a certain post on my f-list xD.
- bought black patent leather shoes for $20. they look hot for such a good price. they're more for autumn though
- Watched the movie Silk. Since we started it at 12am, i say without embarassment that i fell asleep halfway through. I stil didn't like it though.. although Keira was pretty there.
- frantically searched for and downloaded The World Ends With You soundtrack. found it on bittorrent. so awesome ♥.

Today:

- read yaoi manga xD
- made some 00 icons
- watered the plants
- watched The Notebook (first time I didn't cry for that movie)

Also, the Gundam 00 english voices!! WOW.... I never would have expected that cast... but I like that fact that Sam Vincent is doing Tieria's voice. I don't like Setsuna's voice at all though... UGH. Well, I'll still watch it though... because SEED's dub was so good, I want to try 00. :D
Oh and... OMG HOT GUNDAM MEISTERS in season 2. so happy to see their uniforms ♥.

also just for side news.... my great grandma did die... kinda sad, but it was time.. she was really old, and I'm sure that it's a "relief" to some. not in a bad way of course.

Today was BIG and weird feelings in the pit of my stomach.

WOW!! Did anyone see the Wimbleton men's final?!??! it was literally AMAZING. Roger Federer vs Raphael Nadal. It was such a tense match..... My muscules actually kinda hurt when the match finally ended. In the beginning, I was rooting for Federer (you know.. because he's awesome and all and Nadal looks like a caveman).. but the match carried on... and on.... and on. I could see how badly Nadal wanted it. By the end of it, I was so proud and happy for Nadal that he won. He accomplished his dream of winning Wimbleton and beating Federer. Nadal, caveman-like as he is, thoroughly deserved the championship title. I felt REALLY bad for Federer though, and that left a nasty feeling in the pit of my stomach since I really like him and I have a lot of sympathy for others. Anyway, the most AMAZING matche I've ever seen.

Anyway, RANDOM comment... when I was watching Federer and Nadal play, I was actually imaging a yaoi story of them... ugh. I'm so wierd. LOL... but it was kinda hot. *cough cough cough!!!*

In other news... my great-grandma, who is 107, is very sick. Since she recently moved back to China, my grandma is going to visit her this week and stay there for maybe 3 weeks. I'm kinda worried. That also gave me a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Another thing that gave me that weird feeling was that I have to go to work tomorrow.. UGH!! When am I going to be done with her taxes? I'm serious.. she going to drive me MAD.

-- Yes and no. People say I'm too ignorant and that I have to be more careful, but I feel like I am too cautious sometimes and that keeps me from being friends with others.

-- I usually give up... but maybe I'll still admire them from afar.

-- This was discussed in today's post xD. I'll just summerize briefly though: my job (employer), doubt about my artistic abilities, health of my family (great-grandma, grandparents, parents.. it seems like they're all not that healthy), and concern for my sister's future.

-- I'm not sure, but I think it's compassion

-- No... but I still like to write poetry sometimes and try to sound smart in my diary xD.

I finally finished Apollo Justice... had to cheat 1 or two times xDDDDD. how bad of me. anyway... it was really fun at the end when you got to go "back aand forth." xD don't want to give anything away so....

Anyway, since i started my Ace Attorney obsession with Trials and Tribulations... I've started playing Justice For All. I'll eventually get to the first one (haven't seen it in stores at all D:)

Ugh, and my dumb employer keeps on bugging me. I HATE doing taxes for her. ARGH. can't wait until it's August so i can leave her and that job behind @_@ (i'm not working august!). Also, can't wait for the cruise I'm going on with everyone on my Dad's side of the family. We have to fly to Seattle, California and we go on the cruise which goes to Alaska!!! It's gonna be amazing... I just know it.

Anyway, what is everyone else doing during the summer? Any trips planned or just good old R&R? XD.
